If you're tired of wasting time waiting for your CD to spin up, waiting for the next level of a game to load from the CD or waiting for your games to verify that the proper CD is in the drive, CDSpin can be a very useful utility for you. CDSpin will remove the spin-up time of various applications which utilize a CD. It works by keeping the CD spin-up and ready for instant access. By keeping the CD spinning , an application doesn't have to wait on the CD to spin-up, in order to access CD information. Spin-up times of CDs vary from approximately 5-20 seconds. CDSpin eliminates this wait. You can add and remove CDs at will, without CDSpin failing. CDSpin doesn't care if you are using an audio or data CDs. CDSpin is NOT a CD-ROM caching utility. It doesn't cache anything or modify the operating systems cache settings. CDSpin isn't recommended to use on laptops if you are concerned about battery life, but you could use it on a laptop computer to help drain the battery (for battery conditioning).
